SOUTHERN AFRICA will move another step closer to becoming a regional community in 2011, as one of the building blocks of a united Africa with its African Economic Community. This has been the vision of the
continent’s leaders for the past 60 years, and was agreed in writing 20 years ago when the AEC Treaty was approved by African Heads of State and Government in 1991.
