Dos Santos outlines vision for SADC as he takes over chair

LUANDA, 3 October -- Angolan President Eduardo dos Santos has identified
the fight against hunger and consolidation of peace in the region as the
priority areas during his term of office as Chairperson of the 14-member
Southern African Development Community (SADC).

resource management cannot be achieved without adequate financial support
from the international community. This was said by Africa's Water
Ambassador Salim Ahmed Salim when he launched the African Water Facility,
a programme to increase access to existing and future financing sources
for water sector programmes.
